An Independent Advisor to the Board of Trustee

Aum Phub Zam, 52, from Chapcha, Bhutan studied at St. Joseph’s Convent in Kalimpong, West Bengal, India. She is currently the Managing Director of the Yarkay Group Private Limited, that comprises of YARKAY Tours & Treks, an inbound tour company and the recipient of the “ARCH OF EUROPE” Award for Quality and Service in March 2001, YARKAY Construction, a Class I “A” leading construction company in Bhutan undertaking Hydro Power Projects and other civil construction works, and YARKAY Enterprises, a trading company representing prestigious companies in Bhutan – ALSTOM, CRIL, KEC Transmissions, TAM and NORMET.

Aum Phub Zam is also the Vice President of the Construction Association of Bhutan (CAB), and the Honorary Consul of Sweden to Bhutan. She has also served as the member of the Board of Directors in various companies such as the Bhutan National Bank, Bhutan Polymers Pvt. Ltd., Druk Plaster of Paris, Druk Petroleum Co. Ltd., Bhutan Tourism Corpn. Ltd., Druk Satair Corporation Ltd., Druk Ferro Alloys Pvt. Ltd, Druk Stone & Minerals Ltd., Yangzom Cement Industry, 1993- 2001, Penden Cement Authority Ltd., Bhutan Chamber of Commerce, and Bhutan India Friendship Association (BIFA). Furthermore, Aum Phub Zam was the Nominated Speaker at the “Women Entrepreneur’s Participation and Contribution in The Economic Development of Bhutan”, Vienna, Austria, in March 16, 1998. She is also the recipient of the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce (BCCI) Golden Chedeon Sengtoi, an Award for distinguished and exceptional service of high order in the field of outstanding service to the BCCI and Business Community of Bhutan, in October 16, 1984.
