ReGyatso Norbu was born on October 29th, 1990, at Khedrong, located in Phobji Gewog of Wangduephodrang. At the age of eight, he enrolled in Phobjikha Primary School, where he studied until Class VI. He then continued his education at Nobding Lower Secondary School up to Class VII.
In 2007, he joined Gangteng Buddhist University as a monk and pursued studies in Buddhist Philosophy under the guidance of root guru skyabs rje Gangteng Rinpoche and various esteemed instructors.He also took a responsibility of skyor-dpon (Assistant teacher )at the University. In 2016 he had completed the M.A in Buddhist Philosophy.
After completing his studies, he served as a teacher at Gangteng Buddhist University for five years. Following this, he entered a three-year 45 days retreat at the Karzhong Drubdey Retreat Centre in Trongsa.
Currently, Gyatso Norbu is serving as the General Secretary at the Office of Padling Choeki Ga Tshel Foundation.
Appointment and Tenure of Trustee
a. The Trustees of the Board shall be appointed through election in the General Meeting from the nominations received from the members by resolution of simple majority of the members present.
b. The tenure of the Trustee of the Board shall be for a period of three years and subject to reappointment through election thereafter.
c. A member of the Board of Trustees may resign upon thesubmission of his/her resignation to the President and its subsequent approval in Annual General Meeting.
Powers and Duties of the Board of Trustees
The Board shall have power and duties to oversee the formulation and implementation of the overall institutional and systemic policies, programs and activities of the Foundation.
